Should we go back in time ?

After Why do you shoot, the other question is What do you shoot with ?
If you’re lucky you got a DSLR, otherwise choice is wide. I’ve got many cameras, each of them for a special use, and I can’t stop buying new one. But the more I buy some, the more I get back to films cameras. I’ve got a Brownie, a Polaroid Sx-70, an Olympus OM2, a Canon A1, a Leica Dlux3, a Samsung Pro 815 and a Holga 120. And i think my next step my be a Canon DSLR if anyone tried to endorse me before (that will just happen in my dreams). For the moment I hesitate between an Canon 40D and a Nikon D300 (the 5D and 3D are too expensive).
The more I shoot, the more I want three things : a good camera, see the result as fast as possible, cheap processing.
The more I shoot the more I realize the importance of lens. Now i’ve a got a few and I’m driving crazy about their prices.
So the more I take pictures, the more I buy old cameras, the more I buy old lens, the best result I get. The more I use these film camera, the more I like to take picture. Digital brings a lot of good, but everything goes to fast. Film Cameras remind me that it takes time to make a good shot. With digital one, you shoot 10 pictures, for a good one (or a hundred for nothing). And the result are much much better, not only because of the camera (who obviously is) and the lens (who obviously are) but also because you don’t shoot the same way. It’s the same difference between having a automatic weapon with unlimited ammo and having a one shot gun and only one bullet.
So today there’s a lot of picture on internet, on flickr, on fotolia etc. and a lot of good ones, maybe because into 100 photos you can always get a good one (even if it’s a an accident !) . So should we get back to film cameras ? I don’t think so, but digital one gives you bad habit and the sensation that photography is only “point & shoot”.
